Welcome to ASHRAE BALTIMore!

Welcome to Baltimore Chapter of ASHRAE!  The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is a global technical society dedicated to advancing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world. ASHRAE’s technical foundation is built by its 52,000 volunteer members in more than 125 countries with more than 170 chapters.  The Baltimore Chapter was founded in 1939 and serves the greater Baltimore area. Please feel free to explore our chapter website and learn more about us.

BALMER Directory live

Back in 2012, we lost a valuable local resource with the ending of the MEMRA directory.  The Baltimore ASHRAE Board has decided to bring back a virtual version of this resource in our new BALMER directory – the Baltimore Area List of Mechanical Equipment Representatives. (see what we did there, Hon?)  The directory is available online NOW to all visitors to our website, and features a searchable database of local equipment manufacturers and representatives.  Just look for the BALMER link in the header of our webpage.  We hope that the BALMER directory grows to be a valuable resource to engineers and equipment representatives throughout the Baltimore region!

If you would like your HVAC- or Plumbing-related company to be listed in our database, please reach out to our webmaster for a copy of the registration form.  A listing in the database is $250 per year, and renews each Fall.

Virtual Meetings through may 2021

ASHRAE Baltimore will continue virtual meetings through May 2021, and will reassess in-person meetings as conditions change.  Our monthly virtual meetings will occur during the lunch hour for the convenience of our members.  Keep an eye on our Calendar of Events for our meeting schedule and topics.  Registration will also be done online through our website.  We hope to "see" you at one of our virtual meetings!

Our newsletter, the Thermogram, is published monthly from September to May and has become an integral and important part of our local chapter. Learn more>
