Women in ASHRAE
Committee Chair: Natasha Murray
The Women in ASHRAE group was formed in 2015 as a joint effort between the Baltimore Chapter and National Capital Chapter in an effort to provide leadership opportunities for women within ASHRAE and a platform for networking to support the retention of women in the HVAC&R industry. The group is open to engineers, manufacturers representatives, sales representatives, architects, and people of all backgrounds who support the initiative. If you'd like to get involved with WIA or learn more about upcoming events, please contact the committee chair.
Society WIA
At a society level, ASHRAE has adopted Women in ASHRAE as a diversity initiative under the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Subcommittee. Registration is now open for the 2026 Women in ASHRAE Leadership Symposium on April 13-14 in Los Angeles, CA.
Upcoming Events:
Join us for our first Women in ASHRAE event of the year on March 19, 2026, where we invite you to explore creativity and connect with fellow women engineers in a unique and engaging experience. This one-time glassblowing workshop will give participants the opportunity to work alongside a resident glass artist to create their own one-of-a-kind glass piece. You will be directly involved in the glassblowing process, and your finished piece will be available for pick-up 48 hours after the workshop. Light snacks and drinks will be provided, making this a perfect chance to relax, learn something new, and network with peers. Space is limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot!
